The Grouchy Ladybug

We read Eric Carle's book, The Grouchy Ladybug. We talked about how the grouchy ladybug acted and how he treated others. We also talked about the friendly ladybug from the story and how she treated others. We then talked about which lady bug we wanted to be and which ladybug would attract friends. Everyone agreed to be friendly ladybugs and that is what we made to hang up in our classroom.

Even preschool age kiddos quickly understood the moral of this book. So now, we have a new rule. "We decided there are no GROUCHY LADYBUGS allowed in our preschool class!"
