Corn Fields and Thanksgiving

We made these fun corn cob crafts to go along with our Thanksgiving unit. It was fun to eat popcorn while we worked! The preschoolers had to cut out the corn and the leaves before gluing everything all together. Then they glued on the popcorn.
Corn fields have a whole new meaning now that the children know how the Indians taught the Pilgrims how to grow gardens. They also learned how scarecrows protect the corn from being eaten by birds. As you drive by corn fields around town, be sure to point them out to your preschooler. Hopefully, they'll have a lot to tell you about the corn.
