Also, this week, we've started to sing "This Hat" also by Laurie Berkner. Yes, this is the same song we learned last year and was one of everyone's favorites. We have lots of hats in class, but your child is welcome to bring their favorite hat from home, as well.
Your children are really wanting you to enjoy these songs with them. We will sing them for you next month at our Valentine's party, but for some of your children that is just not soon enough. So, I told them that I'd give you the names of the Laurie Berkner songs that we sing regularly, so that you can listen to them on you tube. Simply google "you tube", then search at the top under Laurie Berkner + the title of the song you want to hear. Almost ALL of the songs have a video she has done of the song.
I did this last night with my own boys and they LOVED it. They danced around the room singing each song at the top of their little voices. Try it sometime and have some fun with your preschooler.
* This Hat
* Doodlebug (no video from her, but an adorable 1 or 2 yr old singing it in her car seat)
* Goodnight
* Victor Veeto
* Bumble Bee
* Love to Dance
* Airplane Song (just some home done videos of children acting out the song)
* Monster Boogie (just some home done videos of children acting out the song)
Laurie Berkner is my favorite preschool singer. I love her because not only are her songs fun and catchy, but they make the children get up and move around. They incorporate all of the gross motor skills that are so important during the preschool years. She is truly a talented singer!!

we LOVE Laurie Berkner! I didn't even know she sang on Nickelodeon until one of my preschoolers told me! We use her 'clean it up' song a lot in preschool. And I love 'rocketship run' and 'this is me'
