Monster Books

To go along with our Halloween theme, we made monster books this week. It is a repetitive book created by the children. They cut out shapes and glued them to each page according to the story. Then, at the end, they drew their very own monster. The hope is that each child will be able to read their Monster Book all by themselves when they finally take them home.

The best part to this assignment was how we got into a "moster mood"! We sing the Biggest Monster, sung by Laura Berkner. It is a great song and makes everybody laugh. Check it out on http://www.youtube.com/.

Again, my favorite thing about this little book is that the children don't even realize they are learning. They are simply having fun!! And that's what preschool is all about!
