Awards

The final day of preschool we had a small award ceremony. This was a chance for me to recognize each child, talk about how special they are and how much I love them. It was a time for me to thank Miss Julie who will be greatly missed! It was also a chance for tears, hugs, and lots of pictures!!

Everyone left with a folder full of things that they can keep to remember the year they spent at Desert Vista Preschool!!

Who am I?

My name is Alishia Sechez. I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught school for 3 years in Gilbert before starting my family. Once my son was born, I stayed home with him. Several years later, twin boys were added to our family, too. I have really enjoyed being home with my babies, but I miss teaching, too. A LOT! So, now that my babies have all grown up, I'm excited to teach preschool out of my home. My twins are four-years-old now and are in both classes. I'm so excited to be part of their first school experience and to share what I can with their friends in the neighborhood.
