Fun with Transportation

We've spent a lot of time talking about different types of transportation and why they are important. We've also spent a lot of time using our fine motor skills to have fun with transportation.

We made cars by cutting and gluing shapes together, then adding details.

We made mobiles that had to be colored in LOTS of different colors. We talked about the colors of our family cars and trucks. Then we talked about the cars and trucks we see on the road. We, then, all agreed that our mobiles needed to be colorful, like real cars and trucks.

We also painted cars and trucks. I showed the classes a quick example of how to paint a car. The children sat on the floor at my feet while I spent a couple minutes painting for them. That was all of the explanation the children got. But look at the pictures they made!!

Awesome, I know!! They have worked hard and have a lot to be proud of. They are capable of way more than we all give them credit. These projects prove that!
