Fish Make Good Pets

We had fun with fish today!! We spent the day with "Zoey" and "Red Bull", who are pets that came to visit. One fish stayed on the preschool table, where preschoolers were counting, making shapes, and eating goldfish. The other fish stayed on the kitchen table, where children were making their own aquariums to take home. They colored, painted, cut and glued before they were able to take these projects home!
We also had a very valuable lesson on patience as we glued tissue paper on these fish. It takes a lot of fine motor control to separate small pieces of tissue paper, especially when your fingers get sticky from the glue! But, we all were successful and had a pet fish to take home, too!
We have had sooooo much fun learning about our pets and the children keep telling me they want them all for pets. Sorry, parents, for the little pet seeds I've planted in their heads.
