New Unit on Our Bodies

We are starting a new theme today. It is a short, two week unit about the parts of our bodies and why they are important. Today, we started with our hands. As everyone got to class, they used their hands right from the very start. They played in shaving cream. They wrote their names, made shapes, wrote letters, and drove trucks through the shaving cream. All done with their hands. Our centers were all about our hands, too. We made hand prints, played with play dough, and wrote our names. Then, after recess and snack, we cut shapes, again using our hands.
