Hokey Pokey

There is nothing cuter than watching 12 three-and-four-year-olds learn the Hokey Pokey. We put these smiley face stickers on their right hands and right feet to help. (They are all over my house, and yours, too, I'm sure.) Then, we sing along with Dora, who does a perfect Hokey Pokey for preschoolers. It is fast paced, yet simple, and she shouts out what is next so that I can prep the children for what they need to get ready for. Of course everyone giggles when we have to put our "back side in and put our back side out and put our back side in and then shake it all about." It is fun and everyone uses all of the parts of their body for this song. Ask your child to show you how it goes, or even get the entire family up and moving. Most nights, our family can be seen in the preschool room doing the Hokey Pokey.
