A Different Way to Count

For some reason this simple bug counting activity was really challenging. It is a "file folder" game done individually, or sometimes, in partners.

The preschoolers had to count the spots on these ladybugs, one ladybug at a time.

Then, they had to find the matching flower that went with each ladybug, and simply put the ladybug on the flower. Simple, right?? They count for me all of the time.

Well, this was difficult for most of your children. We tried and tried and in most cases, had to work together, to get it right. We're going to try it again next week, and see if it is any easier.
