Shaving Cream

After making the rainbow with the glue and starch, I quickly realized that the preschoolers needed to get down and dirty. We haven't practiced our shapes, names, and other pictures using shaving cream in several months. So, during play time, I sprayed shaving cream all over the preschool table.

The children were encouraged to write their names, and practice their shapes as they played and got messy!! Most children loved this activity, but there were a few that had to be "talked into" playing. This is such a simple and fun way to practice with children so young.

It can easily be simulated at home with shaving cream or pudding smeared onto a cookie sheet. Try it and see how your child does with a mess.
