Where does an animal go when it is sick?? But, of course, they go to the doctor. What is that doctor called? The are called veterinarians, or vets. This was such an eye opener for all of the preschoolers. A few had were familiar with vets, but many had never heard of them before.
This week, we added doctor supplies to our bucket of "pet shop" toys. The children got to fix up the sick animals and try to be a vet themselves. I heard over and over again today, "When I grow up, I'm being a vet!"
