One of the centers is set up as an area to wash and clean pets for the pet shop. The preschoolers get to pick an animal out of a bucket. Then, they wash it in the baby bathtub and pretend to put shampoo and lotion on the animal as they pretend to spray it off with a squirt bottle. Then they take the animal out and wrap it in a towel to get it nice and dry. And lastly, they get to blow dry the animal and brush its fur.As we explained the new center, we talked about pet shops and animals that are for sale. We talked about how they needed a home and how making them fluffy and clean would help them get a home faster. All through the day, the children were bringing me animals telling me they were ready to be sold!
