Swimmy

Our Swimmy fish is finally up. We read the book, Swimmy, by Leo Leoni. It is about a fish whose family is eaten by a big fish. He swims alone for a long time before finding a new family of fish to live with. This time he teaches the fish to swim together so they look big and can scare all of the big fish away. All of the fish are red, except for Swimmy so he swims with the red fish in a pattern where he becomes the eye.

We each made a fish and then put ours together to make a big fish. The caption next to the fish says, "Even though we are little, we can do big things if we work together."
